HughesNet vs. SkyWay USA Comparison

The popularity of satellite high speed internet connections is growing in remote and rural parts of the United States. Two of the satellite internet service providers (ISPs) are HughesNet and SkyWay USA. Each company requires that the consumer purchase or lease the satellite equipment – dish, mounts, modem, etc. – but there are also key difference in their high speed internet services.

  • Includes free email accounts – five or ten, depending on the plan the consumer selects.

  • Download or downstream speeds from 1.0 megabits per second (Mbps) to a maximum capability of 5.0 Mbps.
  • Offers service to all of the 48 contiguous states.
  • Company policy requires a certified installer to connect and activate the equipment.

SkyWay USA
  • Has four connection plans from which the consumer can select based on their individual needs.
  • Includes free email accounts – five are offered with each plan.
