Hughes Net offers high speed, rural broadband services throughout the country. You will need to purchase or lease a satellite dish and modem, both of which will be installed by a certified HughesNet installer. The modem will then be connected either directly to your computer or to a wireless router which will convert the satellite internet connection into a wireless connection.
HughesNet offers several different internet access plans, with varying rates of uploads and downloads, so that the consumer can choose the plan that works best for their individual needs.
- Basic Plan - Download speeds of up to 1.0 Mbps and upload speeds of 200 Kbps.
- Power 150 Plan - Download speeds of up to 1.2 Mbps and upload speeds up to 250 Kbps.
- Power 200 Plan - Download speeds of up to 2.0 Mbps and upload speeds up to 300 Kbps.
