About Cable ONE

Cable ONE offers high speed Internet service to 19 states in the southern, Midwestern, and western parts of the United States. Internet services from Cable ONE are carried via the company's cable lines, which connect to businesses and residential units, including homes, condominiums, and apartments.

As with most cable Internet connections, the consumer will need to rent / lease or purchase a special cable modem that will connect to the coaxial cable installed in the consumer's residence or business and to the user's computer .

Cable ONE's broadband Internet services are like most high speed Internet connections, in that there is a difference in speed between data being sent from the Internet to the user's computer – called download or downstream speed – and data being sent from the user's computer to the Internet – called upload or upstream speed. As is typical, download speeds are greater than the upload speeds.

Service Tiers from Cable ONE

Currently, Cable ONE offers three service tiers from which the consumer can choose.

Economy – This level of service includes two email accounts, with download speeds at a maximum of 1.5 megabits per second (Mbps) and upload speeds at 150 kilobits per second (Kbps). This level is great for basic email and web surfing activities.

Standard – This tier offers 15 email accounts, download speeds at a maximum of 5 Mbps, and upload speeds at a maximum of 500 Kbps. A good service for gaming and moderate web use, this tier also offers 100 megabytes (MB) of personal web space and 200 MB of email storage.

Premium – This service tier comes with 20 email accounts, and connection maximums of 10 Mbps for uploads and 1.0 Mbps for downloads. Additionally, 150 MB of personal web space and 250 MB of email storage are offered.
