Road Runner® Broadband offers consumers high speed access to the Internet by utilizing existing cable television structure. However, instead of the cable transmitting television, the signal carried by the coaxial is data for the Internet . A cable modem is required to be purchased or leased by the consumer.
As with most Internet connections, there is a difference in the speed of data transfer. Generally, the data being transmitted from the Internet to the user's computer (downloading or downstreaming) is transmitted faster than the data moving from the user's computer to the Internet (uploading or upstreaming).
Road Runner® Broadband currently offers three tiers of service from which the consumer can select based on the consumer's needs. Each tier offers free Internet security from spyware and malicious viruses, free webmail with multiple accounts, and free parental controls.

Turbo – The Turbo tier offers download rates as fast as 15 Mbps and upload rates as fast as 2 Mbps. This tier works well for high-end users who watch a lot of streaming video or participate in online gaming applications, in addition to home-office.

"Time Warner Cable's speeds are up to par. I usually get about 1mbps downloading, so it's not so bad. It's kind of pricey compared to some of the more affordable solutions out there. But I feel that Time Warner Cable is the best my area has to offer."

"Customer service provider is of very good quality and with less amount of time. Whenever there is a change in the address, they schedule it very quick for the service start up and always stick to the time. Price is affordable since the offer a management is up to date and brings up the good affordable price from time to time .But the service these days is going on and off intermittently which is causing lot of irritation and lot of manual effort from our side to reboot the modem and outer. Due to this our other service are getting affected since our telephone and TV are entirely dependent on internet service."
