"Installation is very involved because fiber cable is being run from the street all the way to the home. The process isn't difficult for the customer but a lot of work for the installers. Installers ran Ethernet throughout my home exactly where requested. Speeds have been awesome. I have 50M and never have any slowdowns or glitches."

At one point, I pointed out that the techs had been out 6 times in two and half months and the customer service rep said that didn't seem like very many. We've had multiple problems and just when we think it is fully fixed, I now find out someone on their end has changed my log in phone number to my cell phone number and that's why I have been locked out of my account. And I had to find that out by taking a guess as to what the problem was since it has been 4 days since they "fixed" the log in problem. Once I was able to get into the account, I see they have reverted back to an old billing address that hasn't been used for 5 years. Pretty much bad service and technical issues since we began. Including one time when they sent our account to collections because they forwarded the wrong account number."
"My apartment forces me to use CenturyLink and the experience has been a mixed bag. Whenever I have had an issue it really depends on who answers the phone if I will get help or not. Much of their staff seems under-trained."

Whenever there is a change in the address, they schedule it very quick for the service start up and always stick to the time. However,we pay for the preferred service but we are unable to connect to games like Halo:Reach to play online multiplayer. Our connection is, somehow, too slow for us to be able to play with other people online. Every now and then our Netflix takes awhile to load, but, for the most part, we rarely have issues playing movies or tv shows on Netflix. I believe we will be calling to change our service to the one below because we are paying around $50 a month but are unable to play games...so we might as well downgrade."

"I have used many Internet Service Providers over the 14 years I have been online. Names like EarthLink, NetZero, AOL, Time-Warner and now Verizon. I have to say that compared to the others I have used, Verizon gives me better speed, service and a slightly better value than the other ones did. If I have a problem connecting, Verizon helps me troubleshoot the problem right away and have friendly and knowledgeable customer service and tech support. I have DSL enhanced and am quite happy with it as well. The monthly price is adequate and affordable. Overall, I would recommend Verizon to anyone. "
"I've been with CenturyLink for almost 2 years, formerly they were known as Qwest. Their pricing is pretty reasonable however the fastest internet speed they offer in my area is a measly 10mbps. When I first moved here my first course of business was to get the fastest internet possible. I was used to getting over 25mbps at my old location, so I found their 10mbps offering to be a tad bit disappointing. I would gladly pay considerably more for faster internet. On the positive side, any issues I've had were fixed extremely quickly and the issues I've had have been far and few between, so at least their network is rock solid!"
"Frontier Broadband is a great internet service provider. I used dialup internet service for years and just became a customer of Frontier in the last year. I was afraid that high speed internet or DSL, was not affordable. It was also not available for my area yet. I got so tired of the slow speed of dialup so I decided to call Frontier. Their customer service were very friendly and they came to my house in just a few days and set up my internet connection with them. I have not had any problems with connecting with the internet or any slow speeds since then. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting a very reliable internet service provider."
"I've had problems with my internet going out and have to check my connection or reboot the system at least 2 to 3 times a week. The speed is not great had them test it but at the price I pay I don't expect a great speed. In order to get a great speed I would have to upgrade my internet services, that's just a little to steep for me so I just keep what I have. "Our service was generally reliable and quick then about 6 months ago we started having issues with streaming Netflix - the quality would adjust up or down every few minutes. We called Comcast and asked them to up our speed, they did so without interrogation and we've been more than happy ever since. "

"Comcast offers the best speeds in my area when purchasing a business package. I had some technical problems at first getting the business suite hardware to work with my airport/time machine. Ultimately their customer service failed me completely and I ended up troubleshooting the issue myself. Initial set-up aside, the service has been good."

"When I first moved to Salt Lake CLEAR said they didn't cover my area. However, after talking to a sales manager at one of their sales events he showed me that they did, in-fact, cover where I lived. Since then I've had CLEAR for two years and loved it. Occasionally the service will go down (since it is wireless), but customer service is always great and very timely in getting back to me on updates and news. I recommend CLEAR."
