Broadband Internet from Sprint

Sprint PCS offers consumers access to the company’s 3G and 4G networks through their Mobile Broadband services. As a nationwide cellular phone company, Sprint’s coverage is throughout the United States, in more than 10,000 cities and 900 airports.

The consumer will need to have a special connection card, which functions like a modem, to connect their computer to the internet through the Sprint network. Sprint offers three such cards: a USB Card which is a simple plug-and-go device; a miniature wi-fi device which creates a personalized hot spot accessible by up to five devices; and a 2-in1 adapter for ExpressCard or PC Card slots. The consumer will also need to have a connection plan with the company.

Sprint Mobile Broadband Plans
Currently, Sprint PCS offers two different connection plans for the consumer: the 3G Mobile Broadband Connection Plan and the 3G/4G Mobile Broadband Connection Plan. Each of the plans limits the 3G monthly usage to 5 GB per month, with additional monthly coverage at a cost-per-MB. The 3G/4G plan offers unlimited 4G access, provided that the consumer is in one of the cities or regions offering 4G coverage.
