Verizon Wireless offers mobile broadband or wireless
high speed internet access to consumers throughout the company’s coverage areas.
In order to use Verizon’s
wireless high speed internet offerings, the consumer will need to have an Ethernet card installed or inserted in their computer and have access to the Verizon network through local area networks (LANs) or hot spots.
Currently, Verizon’s Wireless Mobile Broadband service is available in three different tiers or plans, designed to meet the needs of diverse users.
Verizon Wireless Mobile Broadband Service Plans
- Prepaid Mobile Broadband – This plan is designed for the consumer who wants to just occasionally have mobile broadband access or who does not want to sign a long-term contract. Data allowance rates – uploading and downloading – are at 75 MB a day, 250 MB a week, and 500 MB a month.
- Mobile Broadband Plan, 250 MB Monthly Allowance – This plan works well for the user who wants to do light web-browsing and to send / receiving small email attachments. Verizon Wi-Fi hot spot access is included.
- Mobile Broadband Plan – 5 GB Monthly Allowance – This plan from Verizon works well for the user who has moderate to heavy internet usage, and allows for plenty of web browsing and sending and receiving large email attachments, as well as uploading and downloading large files.
