Broadband Internet From WildBlue
For the rural consumer, high speed satellite internet access is the best option for broadband connectivity. It is reliable, is available anywhere in the contiguous United States, and it allows the consumer to be continuously online, as well as being affordable. WildBlue is one such satellite internet service provider (ISP).
WildBlue
WildBlue provides high speed internet access across the U.S. by means of its two satellites. For WildBlue service, the consumer leases a satellite dish and satellite modem from the company; WildBlue will provide professional installation of the dish and the modem. Once those two devices have been installed and connected via a cable, the customer has the ability to connect a computer directly to the satellite modem or to install a wireless router, which converts the satellite internet connection to a wireless internet connection.
WildBlue offers three different connection packages from which the consumer can select. The plans have varying rates of connection speed and each has a different limit of how much data can up uploaded / downloaded in a 30-day period, as part of the company’s Fair Access Policy. Each plan includes anti-spyware and anti-virus software for the first 12-months of service.
