Las calificaciones de HSI son una puntuación agregada asignada por nuestros profesionales de internet. Se incluyen muchos factores, entre ellos:
Cox offers four main speed tiers of Internet service. They range from 10 Mbps to 300 Mbps. They also recently started offering 1 Gbps to a few markets. Because the Gigabit Internet is only available in a few areas, this review will focus on the other speed tiers. In the lower tiers, the speeds offered by Cox are on par with other cable Internet providers, but on the higher end, the 300 Mbps offered by Cox is among the fastest for cable providers. Because of the great speeds available, Cox is a great choice if you stream a lot of videos or download a lot of movies or games. In fact, when you compare Cox to DSL Internet providers, you could save over four minutes every time you download a 25 MB video. Those minutes can add up quickly. If speed in your main concern, but you don’t want to pay for fiber optic Internet, Cox is a great option.
Cox Internet packages start out at about $29.99 for the lowest tier up to about $79.99 for the highest tier (not including the 1 Gbps tier). After the first year, these prices will increase by as much as $25. A price increase after the introductory promotional period is a common practice among cable Internet providers. Cox Internet pricing is competitive within the industry and the speed you get for your dollar gets better among the higher tiers. New Cox customers can expect to pay an installation fee. To have service installed by a Cox technician you will pay $75. Cox also offers a self-installation option. Unfortunately, Cox charges $20 for a self-install. Some promotional offers may waive these fees. Cox also offers to have its technicians set up your home network with up to three computers for a charge of around $40. Cox has two different Wi-Fi modems to choose from. Despite the fee for self-installation, Cox offers a good value for its Internet service. The lower speed tiers are about on par with Industry standards, while the higher tiers deliver a lot speed for the price. As with most Internet providers, that value takes a hit after the promotional period expires. But, even at full price the speed delivered by Cox Internet makes it a good deal.
Cox had an average showing in HSI’s 2018 independent survey. It scored 3.76 out of 5 for overall customer satisfaction. The survey reflected the high speeds available from Cox. It scored its highest mark for customer satisfaction in the speed category, 4.12 out of 5. It also scored well, 3.9 out of 5, in the reliability category. With such high marks for speed and reliability, the biggest factor that dropped the overall score is the monthly bill category, where Cox scored a 3.22 out of 5. The average of our customer reviews give Cox a 3.5 out of 5. That’s not a bad rating. Some customers have complained about service disruptions and pricing increases, but those seem to be the exception, not the rule. Most customers seem to be happy with their Cox service.Ver planes for Cox Communications

Been a customer for 30 years. Moved to a different address a year and a half ago and nothing but problems. They know there is a damaged main line in the area but they never fix it like they say they will. They just put a booster on the line to try to make it work. I lose service all the time and usually have to wait three days to get a tech out to patch the problem again. They never fix the actual problem. This time I'm turning in my cable boxes and can't wait for a reliable internet provider to give them competition here.¿Fue útil esta reseña? 11 0

Customer service is very good. We have never had problems getting repairs or techs to our house. We have TV, Internet and security; all with cox. Like I say, customer service is great and we use them A LOT!!!!! because their systems are crap. Our tv goes out all the time. Internet is intermittent and their security is terrible. I can not use the security app remote. I have to be home to set and unarm. They told me to close the app and restart again. Right! So I can now change all my passwords and security information. I think not. What a pain in the butt. I’m going to look for a different provider.¿Fue útil esta reseña? 10 3

Have service in Gilbert, AZ, right outside of Phoenix. Paid for a bundle deal at approx $60 per month. My bill crept up to approx $100 over 2 years. I changed the service to reduce the bill, eliminating the cable TV service and keeping the high speed internet. The next billing cycle showed the same bill of approx $100! When I spoke to a representative, they said when you "loose the bundle you loose the discount" so my bill is the same with or without cable. Too bad the first representative I spoke to did not share this information before I canceled the cable, thinking my bill would go down. Terrible customer service!¿Fue útil esta reseña? 18 1

Cox Statement said 30Mbps, test shows 26.7 Mbps. pricing is to high , and I get frequent raises, then I have to write letters to the Main HQ. when I talk to a Rep. they have the same answer, price raises every year, and he answer very annoying; You should know when the year is over, write down. Sad to say I asked for a prior explanation as to when the price changes, never happens.¿Fue útil esta reseña? 8 0

Doesn't see like any ISPs provide low Internet speed for just browsing the Internet. Not everyone needs 50 Mbps or higher.¿Fue útil esta reseña? 1 1
