I have fiber service. There was an area outage for 9 days. No internet. I got daily text messages with "service will be restored tomorrow". Customer service had no details or any solutions other than suggesting I use my cell phone's hotspot. No weather disaster, no power outages, nothing. Working from home was obviously impossible. I had to relocate my home office and commute. After 12+ texts of "estimated restoration of service" (which were all wrong) I wasn't even able to plan around it. After 5 calls to customer service, they have generously offered me...$30. Two weeks after I got service restored, I received an email from CenturyLink letting me know my monthly service cost will be increasing by $10. Customer experience fail.
