Why choose Quantum Fiber for internet service?

Quantum Fiber offers some of the best prices for fiber internet in the US, and we love its Price for Life guarantee and unlimited data on every plan. New customers also get no-cost installation and the sweet new Wi-Fi 360 equipment on all speed tiers. That includes multi-gig plans now available in select areas. These plans can handle virtually any number of connected devices without breaking a sweat, and you’ll have seamless connectivity in every corner of your home.

 Pros

  • Multi-gig options
  • Price For Life guarantee
  • No contracts or data caps

 Cons

  • Confusing availability
  • Location-dependent speeds

How Quantum Fiber compares to the competition

Quantum Fiber offers faster speeds at lower prices than traditional cable providers such as Xfinity, Cox, and Mediacom. It’s almost always fiber-to-the-home, though some locations may have a cable connection from the curb. We love that all Quantum Fiber plans come with unlimited data and no contracts—regardless of connection type.

Quantum Fiber also has a leg up against other fiber providers like Optimum. While Optimum hits customers with massive price hikes after a year, Quantum’s Price ror Life guarantee keeps prices affordable and steady, with no confusing promo offers. The big downside? Quantum Fiber is still growing, so it’s only available in 16 states and hard to get outside major cities.

FAQ about Quantum Fiber

Is Quantum Fiber the same as CenturyLink?

Quantum Fiber and CenturyLink are both under the corporate umbrella of Lumen Technologies. Quantum Fiber is the new name for fiber-to-the-home internet services (sometimes cable), and CenturyLink is the name for DSL services. You get the same speeds and prices on a Quantum plan as you would from CenturyLink fiber. If you hear about a name change in your area, ask your rep how your Price for Life deal might be changing.

What are the benefits of Quantum Fiber?

Quantum Fiber’s benefits include low prices for fiber internet, gigabit and multi-gig speeds, and no contracts. Installation and WiFi 360 equipment are included when you start service. Equipment prices could go up down the road though, so keep an eye on your monthly bill.

Is Quantum Fiber legit?

Yes, Quantum Fiber is totally legit. It’s basically the same service as CenturyLink, just under a different name. Quantum Fiber gives you fiber-optic speeds of between 500Mbps and 8,000Mbps at a reasonable price, with no need to worry about contracts or data caps. Availability of the different speed tiers depends on where you live.
