Hughesnet, in my area, is the lesser of two evils. Had many problems for the first month, and was constantly on the phone with customer support. (yuk) ninety five % of the time, it was in Pakistan or India and they spoke (english?). it was very frustrating. I have their top plan (ultra), with fifty gig prime time, plus fifty gig bonus time, two am to six am. Yea, really usable. Ran out of data halfway thru the billing cycle. The sales department was not entirely honest. They told me that rain, snow, or clouds would not affect the signal. (ha) Only severe weather would. My wife really is disatisfied, but better weather is on the way, so I will give them the benefit of doubt. Also, the download bounces all over the place. All in all, the service is not very dependable... Oh, I forgot. Initally, i bundled trhe phone service, but it has so much static that I cancelled that in two days..
