New T-Mobile Home Internet customers can get a $50 Prepaid Mastercard when they sign up. Register with a coupon code within 30 days of activating your service and your virtual Mastercard arrives within 12 weeks.

You also get a free subscription to Vix+ for a year. And the discount on Philo TV looks especially tantalizing for cord-cutters in need of an affordable streaming TV option to go with their Wi-Fi.

We’re a bit surprised that T-Mobile doesn’t have more bundle deals available to go with its phone plans—T-Mobile is primarily a phone carrier, after all. But it’s nice that you can get T-Mobile Home Internet for just $30 a month when you pair it with two or more lines of the Magenta MAX phone plan.

How much speed do you need?

Use our “How Much Internet Speed Do I Need?” tool to see what bandwidth is best for what you do online. Sometimes, you can save money by picking a slower plan—because oftentimes, even a slower download speed is still fast.

Does T-Mobile participate in the Affordable Connectivity Program?

T-Mobile Home Internet doesn’t participate in the federal government’s Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). However, you can get an ACP credit through subsidiaries Assurance Wireless and Metro by T-Mobile.

The ACP provides a monthly subsidy of $30 (or $75 for customers on Tribal land and high-cost areas) to apply towards your internet bill. The program is available to low-income internet users who meet certain eligibility requirements—learn how to apply on our ACP internet guide.

What fees do you pay with T-Mobile 5G Home Internet?

It used to be cool for providers to stuff your internet bill like a Thanksgiving turkey, adding on as many extra fees that they could get away with. Hopefully the rise of 5G home internet brings an end to these costly shenanigans. T-Mobile and Verizon 5G Home Internet both do away with charges for things like installation and equipment, rolling it all into one fixed monthly fee.

Just make sure you return the T-Mobile Gateway when you cancel your service—otherwise you will be charged $370 to cover the price of the lost equipment.
