They lied to me and said I HAD to have the voice line when I only wanted internet service. I was getting the government discount for internet service because my children were receiving free meals at school, so it was obvious we were a low income family. They are the only available provider in my area so there was no other options available. After 2 years of being a loyal customer they jacked my bill up to almost $100 from $34. While I was trying to figure out any possible ways to reduce my bill so that we could get our service reconnected I was told that they could take the voice line off. So… after 2 years of paying for the voice line that was never used even the first time, I was told it wasn’t a necessity to have on my account! How convenient, now that my service is disconnected with a $100 bill past due, it can now be removed from my account. I was told they could give a credit for the passed 60 days for the phone line but ONLY after I pay the $100 bill owed. I paid for a service I never needed for over 24 months and now I don’t have service, can’t afford to pay the bill and basically am just stuck with no internet because they would rather loose a customer than to reconnect my service and knock off the $100 bill that could be taken care of and considered a credit bc I’m sure the 24 months of phone line charges I paid was more than the $100 I currently owe.
