Arlington Residential Internet Coverage

Depending on where you live in Arlington, you may have access to high-speed cable, DSL, fiber, or satellite internet.

Fiber internet, one of the fastest options available, is provided by Frontier. As Frontier builds out their fiber network, the service area may grow. Currently, it is limited to a small part of North Arlington.

AT&T is another primary fiber internet provider in Arlington, although this company also brings DSL to the entire city of Arlington. Service stretches to the neighborhoods of West and Southwest, running to the eastern limits of the city.

Coverage is similar through Time Warner Cable, although part of West falls outside of this company's service area.

Charter, another key cable provider in Arlington, has a slightly smaller service area. Very little of central Arlington is covered, so the neighborhoods of Central and Dalworthington Gardens do not have Charter service. Coverage picks up just before Grand Prairie Municipal Airport in the east and runs eastward. In the west, service starts at Mattock Road.

We were experiencing connection issues and Spectrum sent out a technician to replace equipment and ensure everything was operating correctly. During the inspection stage he discovered an issue with the line coming into the house. He provided photos of the repair he made and explained everything in detail. Now the speed in which everything responds and operates is super fast. Alexa has never responded so quickly controlling out smart devices and the TV streaming is wonderful. Even at our furthest connection point it is working better. In the past I could not pick up a WiFi connect when standing in our driveway. Now I do. I am very pleased. As far as price for the service we use… I feel everything is far too expensive these days. When you think about it, everyone is paying over one hundred dollars per phone service, and over two hundred dollars for internet and TV service. These companies are raping the country. Plus we pay streaming services on top of that. Netflix, STARZ, Prime, HBO/MAX… I remember when phone service was cheap unless you were calling long distance, and TV was free. People have to choose between buying groceries and medications or phone, internet and TV. Since we do out banking online, we are stuck with paying these high fees. And nothing ever goes down in price. It’s always increasing. Something needs to give. I think there should be special offers made to loyal customers who have been with companies for 5 years or longer. Their rates should be lowered.

Some guys do try. Majority dont seem to do the same thing to try to fix. All same diff ways to try but none work. Give em a call late at night and they will clear it all right up over the phone but then shortly after next day its out again. Best part is its still connected but it wont reach to my bedroom literally down the hall. Allowed a hole to be drilled in my apartment wall I need internet so bad for everything. Kids school and work. Life runs off it now and they can never truly permanently fix my internet service here and its the worst experience ever and been a long time customer like 13 years. This area is NOT spectrum partner!! I cant wait to move from here!!!

Methodology

HighSpeedInternet.com compares internet providers within cities and metro areas to give customers the most relevant insights into their internet options. When comparing providers, we consider the following:

  • Provider coverage areas
  • Advertised speeds
  • Real-world speeds (speed test data)
  • Customer feedback
  • Other relevant localized data

We source localized coverage data displayed on our coverage maps from the FCC coverage database, which is updated every six months. For the most current summary of providers in your area, we recommend you use our zip code search tool, which offers the most recent coverage data straight from internet service providers (ISPs).

Our city overviews compare advertised provider speeds. We may also include real-world speed data gathered from millions of annual speed test results. To process our speed test data, we first filter out outliers and providers with low test counts. We then calculate speed averages with every ISP subject to the same parameters.

We gather ISP customer feedback data from our comprehensive annual surveys and direct customer feedback submitted to HighSpeedInternet.com. Unless stated otherwise, average ratings are calculated nationally.
