El Paso Residential Internet Coverage

With multiple internet service provider options in El Paso, residential and business customers can choose the price and speed option that best suits them.

One of the largest providers in this region is AT&T. The DSL network in El Paso is quite large, reaching the western limits of the city in Eagle, Pasadena, and Lakeside. Service extends east to Lower Valley, stopping short of East Side. In the north part of the city, service is unavailable in the Northeast neighborhood and North Hills. The fiber internet network from AT&T is slightly smaller, although it does still bring coverage to many El Paso residents.

Another established service provider in El Paso is Time Warner Cable. Through Time Warner Cable, homes and businesses have access to speeds as high as 50 Mbps. Service is available all along the western edge of El Paso, extending inland to the central neighborhoods of Coronado, Mesa Hills, San Juan, Rosedale, and Thomas Manor. Along the eastern edge of El Paso, Time Warner Cable brings service to Las Tierras, Cielo Vista, Album Park, and Castner Heights.

I’ve had spectrum for over nine years and the price is just keep on going up at first we’re paying $35 a month which was perfectly fine but then it just kept on getting higher and higher now it said 100 and something which is ridiculous. Especially since the Internet did not work very well. I have to have someone come out every 3 to 4 months to look at the Wi-Fi. They let me know to get a mesh network. I had 2 already and it still does the same thing. It’s like what’s the purpose as paying such a high price for the Internet when it does not really work that well. They try to blame it on other companies by saying that this company is coming out playing with our wires. One in my neighborhood can honestly get any other company besides spectrum.

Tech visits are almost always same day or the day after and support staff at the call centers always ensure there is nothing more they can do before having to send you a tech or leave you without service for a limited amount of time.

I was very happy, I've been with Spectrum since Time Warner faded out.

Methodology

HighSpeedInternet.com compares internet providers within cities and metro areas to give customers the most relevant insights into their internet options. When comparing providers, we consider the following:

  • Provider coverage areas
  • Advertised speeds
  • Real-world speeds (speed test data)
  • Customer feedback
  • Other relevant localized data

We source localized coverage data displayed on our coverage maps from the FCC coverage database, which is updated every six months. For the most current summary of providers in your area, we recommend you use our zip code search tool, which offers the most recent coverage data straight from internet service providers (ISPs).

Our city overviews compare advertised provider speeds. We may also include real-world speed data gathered from millions of annual speed test results. To process our speed test data, we first filter out outliers and providers with low test counts. We then calculate speed averages with every ISP subject to the same parameters.

We gather ISP customer feedback data from our comprehensive annual surveys and direct customer feedback submitted to HighSpeedInternet.com. Unless stated otherwise, average ratings are calculated nationally.
