We are without Internet for 5 days because their technicians are on strike. But my company is not on strike and I work remote. AT&T Manager came on the 4th day just to confirm the router is broken which my husband already told them over the phone. They said someone is coming today to fix it which never happen. No one called to let us know they are not coming either. This is the 2nd router that broke in one year. No urgency! AT&T really doesn't care about their customers. I regret leaving the previous company. We had them for 18 yrs and didn't have problems. Thinking of going back to them even though their price was higher and the speed lower.

One week's experience with this TM Gateway. Very inconsistent. Tower is less than 1/2 mile away. Speed tests indicate 60-75 MBPS but latency is not acceptable. When slow, some webpages and emails take 10-15 seconds to populate the graphics. Other times much quicker. Tech Assist says they can do nothing more. $30 per month is great but it has to work acceptably all or most of the time and it does not. If no improvement, it's gone!

The maximum upload speed they offer for gigabit ethernet is 35mbps up. That may be plenty for some, but it's absolutely unacceptable in 2022...

Methodology

HighSpeedInternet.com compares internet providers within cities and metro areas to give customers the most relevant insights into their internet options. When comparing providers, we consider the following:

  • Provider coverage areas
  • Advertised speeds
  • Real-world speeds (speed test data)
  • Customer feedback
  • Other relevant localized data

We source localized coverage data displayed on our coverage maps from the FCC coverage database, which is updated every six months. For the most current summary of providers in your area, we recommend you use our zip code search tool, which offers the most recent coverage data straight from internet service providers (ISPs).

Our city overviews compare advertised provider speeds. We may also include real-world speed data gathered from millions of annual speed test results. To process our speed test data, we first filter out outliers and providers with low test counts. We then calculate speed averages with every ISP subject to the same parameters.

We gather ISP customer feedback data from our comprehensive annual surveys and direct customer feedback submitted to HighSpeedInternet.com. Unless stated otherwise, average ratings are calculated nationally.
