AT&T installed U-verse service over six months ago based on a special rate promotion and increased internet speed. After two weeks of almost daily lost service and multiple tech reps and "supervisors" visits, the installation of three different modems, the service still fails three to five times a week. I have to go down a flight of stairs to the basement each time to manually re-boot the modem. When the service drops, it also causes the loss of my landline service. Calls to service centers, locally, regionally, and corporately in San Antonio, Texas have not resolved the issues. There is a serious disconnect between a customer and management who cannot provide proper technical training or maintain any semblance of quality control of the equipment they install. The only thing I can say that has been consistent about AT&T, is their apologies and platitudes of commiseration about their poor service and equipment. I've had Verizon wireless as long as AT&T and never had one service or complaint call. As soon as I can get a internet service provider, I will drop AT&T and switch my landline number to Verizon as well. Being biggest does NOT always mean best!
