It’s not likely you actually have to deal with any of these extra charges from Verizon. You can waive the setup charge for Fios simply by ordering online, and signing up for AutoPay means you won’t have to worry about late fees.
If you live in a home with a large layout—or if you want Wi-Fi in your backyard—you can pay extra for a Wi-Fi extender to cover more ground. You can also buy a router directly from Verizon, but we wouldn’t recommend it because the router is super expensive. You’re better off buying your own Wi-Fi router.
