T-Satellite launched on July 23, 2025, officially making its service the first and only space-based mobile network in the U.S. T-Satellite automatically connects your phone to satellite service when cell service is unavailable—but is currently limited to messaging and location sharing. T-Mobile and Starlink’s satellite-to-mobile technology is available in most outdoor areas with a clear view of the sky.
T-Mobile wireless customers get T-Satellite for free
T-Satellite service is available to all customers regardless of the wireless carrier. While certain T-Mobile wireless plans will have the service included in their plan, T-Satellite is available for all wireless carriers for just $10 per month. You’re in luck if you’re already a T-Mobile wireless customer with an Experience Beyond and Go5G Next plan, since these plans will include T-Satellite service. That’s a great deal if you’re an adventurer who constantly loses cell service.
If your interest is piqued by the idea of free T-Satellite service with your phone plan, check out the Experience Beyond and Go5G Next plans.
Qualifying T-Mobile plans
Plan | Price | Max download speed | Data allowance |
---|---|---|---|
Experience Beyond | $100.00/mo.* | 418Mbps | Unlimited |
Go5G Next | $100.00/mo.* | 418Mbps | Unlimited |
*w/ Auto Pay. Regulatory fees included in monthly price for qualified accounts. See full terms.
Non-T-Mobile customers can sign up for T-Satellite by calling 1-877-775-1564 or visiting a local retail store.
T-Satellite’s coverage in the U.S.
T-Satellite has over 650 satellites that allow your phone to automatically disconnect and reconnect to the service. T-Mobile’s customers already get to enjoy its vast 5G coverage, but in combination with Starlink’s satellite coverage, that’s truly coverage unmatched. Take a look at T-Satellite’s U.S. coverage map.

Device compatibility and setup
T-Satellite is compatible with over 60 phones, and most smartphones from the last four years will work with T-Satellite. Check out T-Mobile’s list of current and upcoming compatible devices.
T-Satellite also provides handy tutorials on how to send messages with T-Satellite for Android and iOS:
Once you sign up for T-Satellite, your phone will automatically connect to T-Satellite as needed—there’s no need to adjust your settings. You won’t need to worry about having to point your phone at the sky, either, but fewer obstructions will lead to a better signal. You’ll see “T-Mobile SpaceX” as the network when connected.
T-Satellite will continue to evolve
T-Satellite service currently supports messaging and location sharing, but plans to roll out satellite service for picture and voice messaging and for optimized apps in the future. This is a big deal for frequent campers, travelers, or those in areas with generally limited 5G coverage. T-Satellite is an affordable and worthwhile addition to any phone plan allowing you to stay connected just about everywhere.
