Methodology

See our detailed methodology for a breakdown on exactly how we determine the best ISPs for each region.

Why Frontier is the Best Overall in Dallas

According to the data, Frontier is the best Dallas internet provider, which isn’t too surprising given Frontier’s track record over the last few years. Being the best provider requires a balance of good performance and good value, and no ISP does that better in Dallas than Frontier with its fast, reliable, and highly affordable internet plans.

“It works fast. I have no outages. Price is great.”

—Frontier customer
Irving, TX

Starting with the basics, Frontier Internet is built on the firm foundation of fiber internet. Customers enjoy fast plan speeds (up to 7Gbps!), symmetrical bandwidth, and top-notch reliability. But, where it really sets itself apart is with its customer-first pricing and policies. Excellent deals on internet plans, unlimited data, free equipment—the perks go on and on.

Many fiber providers use their fiber internet service as an excuse to charge customers more; Frontier does the opposite, using its fiber internet to give customers a better deal.

  • Looking at Frontier’s mid-tier plan compared to the competition in Dallas, no provider comes close to offering the same value and cheap pricing in one package. Frontier’s Fiber 500 plan comes with everything you need to connect a whole household with superfast speeds at the most affordable price.

AT&T customers get the perks of fiber as well, but pay nearly 50% more, and while T-Mobile’s Rely Internet plan comes close to the same pricing at $50 per month, you don’t get that glorious fiber performance that Frontier customers enjoy.

Our favorite aspect of Frontier is that there are no compromises. You get everything: fast speeds, low prices, and all the perks of fiber internet—there’s no catch.

Why AT&T is the Fastest in Dallas

AT&T’s first-class, real-world speeds are firmly ahead of all the other internet services in the area. It makes sense, as it’s the longest-standing fiber provider in the area. AT&T has the time and experience to tune its network just right for the Dallas area.

AT&T is not stingy with its speeds, providing gig plans to customers at monthly rates around $65, which is a ton of speed for the money. We suspect AT&T’s willingness to offer such a fast plan at a mid-tier price dramatically increases the average speed for its customers. Customers who go with AT&T can rest assured that their services will be anything but slow.

“I love that it has really fast speeds, and it’s a reasonable price.”

Why T-Mobile is the Customer’s Choice in Dallas

Nothing comes above the voice of the customer, and Dallas customers are smitten with T-Mobile 5G Home Internet, according to our latest survey of over 1,200 Dallas internet customers.

When we asked Dallas residents to rate their internet service, T-Mobile received the highest ratings for overall satisfaction, pricing, and customer service, and had the highest average rating. T-Mobile customers in Dallas seem to be the happiest with their internet service.

Looking closer at the data reveals some clues as to why T-Mobile customers are the most satisfied, showing that the ISP’s simple and straightforward service, policies, and setup may count for more than higher speeds or a few dollars less per month.

“Love it because it’s fast. Love because it’s cheap. Do it. Save money.”

    —T-Mobile customer
    Grapevine, TX

Why T-Mobile is the Most Trusted in Dallas

When asked to rate their trust in their internet provider, T-Mobile customers gave the best feedback. T-Mobile doesn’t hide any plan details from its customers and often employs price-locked plans that keep its customers from worrying about random price hikes.

“They are [the] best service provider I have ever been with.”

    —T-Mobile customer
    Fort Worth, TX

T-Mobile customers report fewer price hikes

T-Mobile’s policies are clearly making a difference as its customers report the fewest incidents of price hikes by a large margin compared to other Dallas area providers. Keeping customers’ billing consistent goes a long way when it comes to building trust.

Have you ever experienced a price hike on your internet bill?

“It’s a good company that doesn’t raise prices.”

    —T-Mobile customer
    Fort Worth, TX

Why AT&T is the Easiest Internet Switch in Dallas

Although not shown above, AT&T customers gave the highest onboarding feedback (96.4%) compared to the nearest competitor at 94.0%.

According to the customers, AT&T is the easiest service to get in Dallas. It’s very unusual for fiber providers to receive this kind of feedback due to the more complicated requirements of fiber internet installation, but it seems like AT&T has it down to a fine science.

“I like how easy it was to set up using their website.”
