Technology Type

DSL:

DSL provides internet service via phone cables and is up to ten times faster than dial-up service.

Cable:

Cable provides internet speeds faster than DSL through the same cables used for cable TV.

Satellite:

Satellite internet is widely available, but offers slower speeds due to a far-traveling signal.

Fiber:

Fiber relies on glass strands to relay digital code and is much faster than both DSL and cable.

Century link by far is the worst comany i have had to deal with, unfortunatly they are the only phone and internet provider in our area. I trully beleive i am marked in their system as a bad customer i wait on line every time i have to speak to them which unfortunatly is twice a year. Typically 1 hour to 2 hours and can take 2 - 6 calls. I also can not usually hear much of what is said because there are many othe people talking in the back ground.. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
