Manchester Residential Internet Coverage

Homes in the largest city in New Hampshire were mainly built prior to World War II. Residents are both blue- and white-collar and have careers in administrative support and sales. They tend to be well-educated and upper-middle income. Manchester residents enjoy the connections and ease of life created by having access to high-speed internet. 83% of New Hampshire has access to these services, which is far less than the 99% of Manchester residents who can.

DSL is provided to 100% of residents by FairPoint Communications. In addition, 2% of residents east of the Merrimack River can get DSL from GWI. Xfinity is the only cable internet provider in the area. They reach 98% of the community.

Businesses in Manchester have additional connection options. Most are DSL from suppliers such as Megapath and G4 Communications. Commercial users in the area are also beginning to get access to fiber optics. Level 3 Communications currently offers this service to 1% of businesses.

Never any issues with the quality of internet speed. My main issue is with billing and customer service. When I opened my account they were doing a special 39.99/month. (I own my equipment) When you sign up for automatic payments it would be 29.99/month. They keep charging me the full 39.99 when that's not what I signed up for. The customer service was awful. The worst part is I have to stay with a company that lies and cheats because there aren't any other options for my address. I would gladly pay more for the same service and a different company.

If I had any other choice that would meet my internet needs i would. Unfortunately, verizon fios is not available here YET! Thats the nicest thing i could say about being a customer of Xfinity for many years. Horrible customer service, Horrible bundles, Make you pay for more than you need because its a few dollars more for just what you want. They don't tell you all the fees that come with this xtra stuff either. Just monopoly of a company that i wish got some decent competition..nobody likes Xfinity, we are just stuck with you.
