Ziply Fiber offers a vast array of plans with speeds starting at 100Mbps all the way up to a whopping 50Gbps. But keep in mind that most of Ziply Fiber’s plans carry a 12-month promo period, and you’ll see a price hike once the promo comes to an end.

Up-front costs: T-Mobile Fiber vs. Ziply Fiber
T-Mobile Fiber and Ziply Fiber take a straightforward route when it comes to up-front costs. You don’t need to worry about installation, equipment, or any other hidden fees with either of these providers, unless you need a 10 or 50 Gig plan from Ziply Fiber, in which case you will need to pay up to $600 for installation.
Installation cost
You don’t have to pay for professional installation with T-Mobile Fiber and most Ziply Fiber plans. Ziply Fiber does offer a free self-installation that can be used if your home is already pre-wired for fiber. But if you want to sign up for a 10Gbps or 50Gbps plan, you’ll need to pay either $300 or $600 for installation since you’ll need a specialized network set up to handle the speeds and bandwidth of these plans. These two plans don’t include equipment either, so you’d need to purchase your own router capable of handling these speeds that can cost around $2,000.

Data based on our Annual Internet Service Provider Review.
T-Mobile Fiber is the fastest internet provider of 2026, and the average speed comparisons here show why. T-Mobile Fiber’s speeds even beat out longstanding brands like GFiber, so even though T-Mobile Fiber is a newer fiber provider, you won’t be taking a gamble on slow speeds.
Ziply Fiber has higher reliability, customer’s choice, and best value scores. Ziply Fiber has been around longer than T-Mobile Fiber, which could play a role in the higher value and reliability scores. Although Ziply Fiber’s plans are subject to a price hike, the value still remains for customers, and the price tag is worth the reliability and speeds Ziply Fiber provides. T-Mobile Fiber has a slightly higher best overall score, but Ziply Fiber’s score is still well above the lowest overall score of 3.6.

Methodology
Our HighSpeedInternet.com editorial team bases our analyses on customer input from our Annual Internet Service Provider Review, results from our speed test tool, and proprietary internet provider data on speeds and pricing. To strengthen our research, we look closely at provider contracts to get hard-to-find information on price hikes, data caps, and extra fees, and we keep tabs on the latest news reports and online reviews. When applicable, we also rely on our personal experiences testing these services.
Our favorite plan
The average household needs internet speeds of at least 300Mbps but not more than a gig (1,000Mbps), so the best plan we recommend for each provider is always within that range. We also consider plan specifics, like added costs or included perks, and compare all the options from each provider to national averages. Finally, we account for tech type differences, since you might not need as much speed on a fiber plan as you would on a less-reliable fixed wireless or cable plan. Learn more about how much speed you need, and enter your zip code in our provider lookup tool to see what you can get in your neighborhood.
A note about pricing
The prices you see may not reflect the standard rates these providers could charge after an introductory period. You’ll see the standard rates on broadband nutrition labels displayed during checkout, along with equipment fees, installation fees, contract requirements, and data caps (if any). Always view this information before you sign up for internet service.
