Syracuse Residential Internet Coverage

The large city of Syracuse, New York is home to thousands of residents and many commercial hubs. As this area has built out, more and more internet service providers have offered coverage in this city and its suburban neighborhoods.

Fiber service is available through Verizon Fios, which covers northern Syracuse, the southcentral part of the city, and the Far West neighborhood. Between central Syracuse and Far West, service stops short of Near West Side and West Side. Skunk City, the university area, and Meadowbrook are in the FiOS service area. Verizon provides DSL to almost 100% of Syracuse.

Through Windstream, customers located on the outskirts of Syracuse can get high-speed internet. DSL is offered in Skunk City, Strathmore, Elmwood, North Valley, South Valley, Meadowbrook, and Salt Springs.

Time Warner Cable_s coverage map spans all of Syracuse, reaching Lakefront in the northwest and Eastwood in the northeast. Coverage runs south to Skytop in the southeast and Strathmore in the southwest.

Service/customer support is nearly non-existent: Intermittent internet at our business has been an issue for past 2mo. Impossible to get a resolution and Spectrum does not seem to care when we call to report a problem.

Overall I can honestly say that I’ve never been at all satisfied with the internet service provided to my family by (spectrum). Based on my personal experience with (Spectrum) they have been completely inconsistent and unreliable.
