Newark Residential Internet Coverage

While Newark remains relatively small, with a population just over 45,000, it doesn't lack options for residents looking to invest in a high-speed internet provider.

All residential communities have access to fixed wireless internet between two providers. The first being Cruzio internet, which offers advertised speeds up to 100 Mbps. Most residents get between 25 to 99 Mbps steadily with the company.

The other fixed wireless provider is Tekify Broadband internet Services, which offers full availability and speeds between 100 to 290 Mbps in both download and upload speeds. This is an advantage since most only offer upload speeds up to 25 Mbps, no matter the offered download speed.

Xfinity by Comcast spans over all Newark, from neighborhoods in Jarvis Landing to neighborhoods bordering Interstate 880. Xfinity gives communities a maximum of 300 Mbps for download speeds and 25-to-99 Mbps for uploading speeds.

AT&T offers premier DSL internet services to all of Newark. While they advertise speeds up to 75 Mbps, most customers receive between 10-to-24 Mbps in download speeds.

HughesNet also offers satellite internet services to all residents in Newark, CA with access to the sky from the southern side. They offer advertised speeds between 5-to-15 Mbps.

Tried to jack up my price 6 month in on a 24 month price guarantee plan. Generally, the service barely holds together, with different parts of it not working reliably at any one time. Sometimes miscommunication on their part will result in you having no service at all, or you getting a wrong bill. Fixing it is where the nightmare starts. The support agents are the worst. They have so many of them, but literally all of them are unable to help. And on the chat, they respond once in 5-10 minutes, so it will take hours until you reach the point that they can't help you. One of the 10 times I was on the phone with them was funny. The guy's cow was mooing and singing while we talked. That was the best part of my entire experience with Comcast.
