Only 89% of Salisbury has access to internet services faster than 10mbps, compared with 94% of Maryland.
Verizon Fios brings DSL services to 95% of homes. Windstream offers an additional DSL option to 6% of residents along Rte. 50. For users who prefer cable internet, Xfinity reaches 89% of homes. Fiber optics are not yet an option, but Windstream does offer copper wire to 1% of users adjacent to Rte. 13.
Commercial users are slowly getting access to fiber optics. Level 3 Communications currently reaches 1% of businesses in Salisbury.
