Residents depend on their internet to keep them connected to their employers as well as to advance education and career goals. 100% of Hilton Head Island residents have access to high-speed internet, compared with 84% of South Carolina.
Hilton Head Island residents have two options for connecting to internet services. Cable from Time Warner Spectrum and DSL from Hargray. Both reach 100% of area residents. Fiber optics have not yet entered the area for residential users.
Businesses are beginning to have access to fiber optics. Level 3 Communications offers the service to 2% commercial users.
