Coronado Residential Internet Coverage

Sitting right on the outskirts of San Diego and the Pacific Ocean, the small population of 24,000 has access to a few solid internet providers.

Cox Communications offers residents in southern Coronado, nearby Imperial Beach, with cable internet download speeds up to 300 Mbps. This is only available to the southern residents of Coronado.

AT&T DSL internet extends to mostly northern and southern residences of Coronado, where San Diego borders it. From the southern side, it services areas surrounding Imperial Beach upward towards Kurtz Ct. From the northern side, it services down until the Naval Amphibious Base Coronado. Most residents located off Route 75 won't have access to this service.

Similarly, Time Warner Cable Spectrum also services these areas with high-speed cable internet. They currently advertise speeds up to 50 Mbps. Most residents report speeds are at this level.

Lastly, residents have access to HughesNet Satellite internet, where they boast speeds reaching up to 15 Mbps. However, some weather conditions won't permit this, making speeds as low as 2 or 3 Mbps.
