This is by far the worst internet service providers I’ve ever used. I have only had them for 3 months now, and every month/bill there’s something wrong and the service/sales people are terrible at there jobs. The day of installation, they never showed up. Never gave me the $20 off my bill like their policy says. When I called to find out why they didn’t show, the woman on the phone took 45 minutes to “find” me in their system, saying she had no record of me at all. When I signed up, the sales woman said there was no installation fee, then they charged me $75 for it. Which would be fine, but not after I was told there was no fee. I would have set it up myself. Now on my last bill, I was charged an “internet usage fee” of $100. My mouth dropped when I saw my bill. The woman on the phone told me it was an $80 plan for the highest speed internet, she failed to tell me that I could only use a certain amount per month and that if I did, I would be charged a fee. I specifically asked for the best internet package since we run an online business. She assured it it was. Come to find out the “unlimited” WiFi package is actually $130, not $80. Then I was told by a very sorry excuse for a customer service agent “Sorry Miss, the internet is evolving”. Now just yesterday I scheduled an installation for Contour TV (which I was ASSURED it was free for 1 year no contract... we will see). I set the appointment for 3-5pm. The installation guy calls me at 9am and says he’s on his way. My husband just happened to be going into work later than usual so it worked out, but they clearly can’t make or keep appointments properly. Unfortunately I’m having a hard time finding another internet provider for my area, but I’m actively looking and I can’t wait to get rid of COX. Terrible customer service and lack of product knowledge from their service and sales staff. I would never recommend them to anyone.
