Streaming services like Netflix run ok, but trying to get work done remotely suffers constantly from dropped connections and DNS failures. Their standard answer is restart modem, check hardware, reboot system, but they have nothing to say when it fails either completely or drops again after a few minutes.

Exorbitantly priced and exploitive. Viasat sales lies about service soeed and reliability to get you into a 2 year contract. Abysmal reliability. Horrible customer service.. Total lack of transparency. Expect an internet experience similar to a dial up telephony modem. That is, when it is functioning at its best. In the 8 months since installation, service technicians have returned six times to repair, adjust, or replace equipment. The technicians are contractors not employed by Viasat. Each time a service appointment was scheduled, the service tech contractors had no availability for a week, then canceled 1 day ahead of time, and rescheduled an additional week away. On the worst of such occasions this continued for four weeks, despite additional calls to Viasat each time. No internet at all is better than Viasat. I’m astonished this company still exists. It is criminal.

You can never get anyone on the phone to help you. When service is out they tell you to go online to repair it. Can't get online if service is out. No one is ever willing to take responsibility or offer to really solve a problem. When there are service outages no one is available to tell you why. Worst customer service of any company in existence

I would have given centurylink minus 5 if I could have. It is by far this worst for internet service I have ever experienced. Have had it 2 weeks and the internet has been out more than in. Numerous calls to tech support and they would bring the internet and it would stay about 15 mins then it would go down again. Service repairmen made a feeble attempt to find out the problem and even that service was a joke as all he did was check the modem. I explained the modem would work 15 min then go out and I would have to reset it again. What an idiot he was. Be smart and find another internet provider. You’ll have so many worries with centurylink it won’t be worth the slightly cheaper cost to have it.
