Although it's a small city, residents expect access to the same amenities and services as they'd get in larger cities. Residents are also highly educated. They depend on internet to connect with their employers and plan activities and vacations for their downtime. Compared with 82% of Colorado residents, 91% of Evergreen can connect to high-speed services.
DSL is provided to 100% of homes by both CenturyLink and IntegraTelecom. Xfinity reaches homes with cable internet and is the sole cable internet provider in the area. Fiber optics are not yet available.
Businesses have additional options. Megapath offers copper wire to 100% of businesses and DSL to 57% area commercial enterprises. Businesses are slowly getting access to fiber optics with Level 3 Communications reaching 7% of the area. This is expected to expand over time.
