Silver Spring Residential Internet Coverage

Located just north of Washington DC, Silver Spring is full of established businesses and residents who require steady internet access.

Through Verizon Fios, much of the city can access high-speed fiber internet. This company's network reaches Burtonsville in the north, Holiday Park in the west, Town Center in the south, and Deer Park in the east.

This is very close to the coverage of the Verizon DSL network, offering the entire city more connection options.

Windstream brings coverage to much of Silver Spring, excluding an area in Brookside Forest and Indian Spring Terrace.

Throughout the city, Xfinity offers cable service at various speeds.

Via RCN, almost every Silver Spring neighborhood can choose cable internet. The neighborhoods of Silver Spring Park, Goodacre Knolls, and Montgomery Knolls are not in the RCN service area.

In addition, most of central Silver Spring is covered by XO Communications, although coverage stops short of Forest Estates in the west and Highland View in the east. Central and western neighborhoods in the Zayo Group service area include Sanford, Chestnut Ridge, Monterrey Village, and Glemont Forest. Through Megapath, all of Silver Spring has access to high-speed internet service, as well.

Atlantic Broadband's network reaches most of Silver Spring, with the exception of the area surrounding Rock Creek Regional Park. The Atlantech Online network runs through western and central Silver Spring, reaching Aspen Hill, Green Wood Knolls, Wheaton Crest, and Chestnut Hills.

The neighborhoods of Rock Creek Forest and Deer Park can choose Cogent Communication.

Finally, Level 3 Communications offers service throughout Silver Spring, with a network that covers all of the city's neighborhoods except Four Corners.

Unbelievably bad. I've never had more than 300 Mbps but I pay for a 1Gb plan. They raised my rates from 75 to 113, and then with no warning and outside my contract they raised it to 150. For 300Mbps. I'm so fed up.
