Albuquerque Residential Internet Coverage

Albuquerque, the urban hub of New Mexico, enjoys service from many reliable Internet service companies. Those who want cutting-edge fiber technology often choose Centurylink Prism, which currently reaches central and northwestern areas like Se Heights, Nob Hill, Summit Park, Paradise Hills, and Volcano Cliffs. Through the CenturyLink DSL network, almost all of Albuquerque enjoys access to Internet service; this excludes the small southwestern neighborhood of Valley Gardens. The XFINITY network is nearly identical. Customers throughout Albuquerque enjoy access to the TW Telecom network, although service stops before reaching the northeastern areas of Albuquerque Acres, Heritage, and Tanoan. The Zayo Group network reaches central and eastern neighborhoods, from Silver Hill in the central part of the city to Embudo Canyon in the east. Service through Cyber Mesa Telecom is accessible in Victory Hills, Altura, Snow Heights, and Alameda Valley. Several central neighborhoods fall into the service area of CityLink Telecommunications, such as Netherwood Park, Sandia Ridge, Highland, and Parkland Hills. The entirety of Albuquerque falls into the Megapath service area.

So far dealing with the company has been great. I did have an issue of my modem rebooting, which ended up that the cord had been chewed up by the previous tenants dog. As soon as that cable was replaced the speed has been good and no connection issues.

Any changes made to the account creates accounting errors for months, regardless of what CenturyLink is providing (CenturyLink(Qwest)). Because the account is in error it requires calling. But after being on-hold an extraordinarily long time, the reps don't seem to be a able to do their jobs. They are polite. I give them that. But that becomes irrelevant when accuracy is needed. Asking to talk to a supervisor doesn't help. In the past I have had the information in my profile changed and no one else has access to my account other than the reps. If you have any other choice (we don't have where I live) take it! You'll be glad you did.

For the time being I have comcast internet. I think it is great that they have internet which you can log onto at many locations. However my internet often gives out and it needs to be reset quite often, which for the price I pay should not be the case. When streaming I do sometimes notice a lag and we will have to what for netflix to buffer, but this does not happen to often.

The modem that CenturyLink provided sometimes loses connection to the internet and it needs a complete reset to be fixed. After the reset, the connection is very reliable for the next couple of months until it starts losing connection again. The download speeds are good, however, the upload speeds are much lower.

I haven't had any issues with the internet, but their service center needs improvement. If you make changes on your account, it may take six months to get it correct. We changed from a business line to a regular line thinking it would save money, but it didn't. We have to call monthly to get credit for long distance calls that are supposed to be free nationwide. It is like the reps you talk with on the phone don't have any idea how to do their job. Once our contract is up, we are looking for a new provider.

The worst service I have ever experienced, internet speeds fluctuate drastically, not very dependable, wish there was a better option. That fact is probably why they don't care about service or dependability.

Have had CenturyLink for a couple years after moving to this area. Have never had any issue with connectivity. Reliable. May have to up my Mbps for use when streaming movies. Satisfied customer.

Ive been pretty happy with my century link service for years. My current (although not "top speed") is enough to browse, email and even access shows on my Roku system. Movie download could be quicker but I like what I have for the price!

The service is usually pretty good, but there have been several times where the service is down and I am unable to connect. It is usually a problem with the DNS server. This is not acceptable because I am a college student and need a more reliable connection. I feel that the DNS server problem happens too much.

Century link is good but I think the prices could be a little better. They have service representatives that can hardly speak English and it is hard to understand them.
