Greensboro Residential Internet Coverage

There are numerous cable, satellite, fiber, and DSL providers in the Greensboro area.

Through Centurylink Prism, a growing fiber network is currently located at the eastern city limits of Greensboro. This network serves some edge neighborhoods, like those around Landerwood Drive and Stewarts Mill. CenturyLink also has a stable DSL network in this region. CenturyLink DSL serves the same neighborhoods as Centurylink Prism, but expands service inward toward the city center.

If you choose AT&T, all of Greensboro is in range of DSL, fiber internet, or both. The combined service area stretches from Friendship in the west to Greesons Crossroads in the east, reaching the northern neighborhood of Rudd and the southern neighborhood of Miles Crossroad.

The expansive Time Warner Cable network brings high-speed cable service to all of Greensboro, reaching the border neighborhoods and central neighborhoods like Glenwood, Oak Grove, and Latham Park.

North State Communications serves much of southern Greensboro and parts of the western half of the city. In the west, the service map covers Pomona, Terra Cotta, Hilltop, and Hamilton Lakes. Southern areas that fall into this service area include Forest Oaks, Groometown, and Mount Zion.

Spectrum is always going on and out . O always recive messages saying my internet is being restored. My automatic payment didn't go through they sent a email but never can call or text when there is a problem... I'm canceling and putting standards if companies can't contact me like Adults then I don't want the service. Can take extra fees I'm unaware of without me knowing and out of my account without my knowledge not only do I not know but companies are stealing... I don't aggre to this ... there 4 I'm paying unexpected fees .... bad service and high unawearing fees ... I'm gone cancel and I better Not receive Not one letter from this company! If the workers who get paid o work can't call customers to remind me of bills and tell me what fees are I dint want this service!!!

During the second Thursday of December 2023 Lumos was working on my neighbor's internet service. In the process they disconnected my service. I called them on Friday morning and was told they would try to get to me. After staying home all day I realized they would not get to me. The technicians do not work in the weekend. So, Monday morning my service was reconnected. Each time I called Lumos I got a different person and twice I asked to talk to a supervisor. They were too busy though. The results were I went 3 days without internet at a busy time for me regarding shipping products. It cost me extra because I was not able to download shipping labels from the internet. As a courtesy they have me a $7-$8 credit for the time that I didn't have internet for an issue they caused. Not great customer service in my opinion. Maybe be sure you can take care of your existing customers before you go adding lots more. Up to this I had only positive experiences.

Is Charter Spectrum knowingly defrauding elderly person, in my experience it sure seems like they are. Unfair and Deceptive, corporate misconduct ? Looks that way. I would not recommend this company.

Honestly, what choice do you have when providers are limited in the area? TWC recently bought out by Spectrum. They are doing everything to bring on new customers but absolutely nothing to keep customers. However, you made sure to increase my bill the moment my promotion ended. I will certainly be switching in the near future to another service provider. A paying customer who has never missed a payment and I have my own modem. I have never called in with any complaints. Initially, started out with a medium internet speed and immediately realized I needed to upgrade. One service call in one year. I would say I have been a customer that should have been called at the end of my promotion to see what could be done to keep my service. Again, it was just a promotion. Very sad that big business in today's time continue to abuse the loyalty of their customers.

Time Warner Cable is one of the few providers of internet in my area. This is unfortunate because it leaves consumers without many options for the service. I have been unhappy with Time Warner Cable for quite some time. They are going to increase rates again as well as the "modem lease fee," something they do with fair frequency. They have service issues regularly enough (slow net or outages) but they are nearly impossible to get credits from even when you do not receive service. for extended periods. Their only redeeming quality is that they are the only reliable choice for high speed internet in my area so if I want that service I have no choice but to pay for Time Warner. The moment another reliable option establishes a presence in my area is the day I switch to another provider.

Good enough service for a price. Occasional technical issues, but nothing a modem reset doesn't fix.
