My mother passed away on August 2nd 2018. We called to cancel the spectrum service after she passed. I inherited my mom house and yesterday I went and set up an account with spectrum and was told that my account would be up and running today. I set up the installation package and tried to get my service to work and my laptop would not connect. I contacted spectrum and was told that everything is set up correctly on my end however there was an outstanding bill in my moms account. That has nothing to do with my account so why would this prevent my service from working. I will not be doing any business with spectrum. They were very unprofessional on the phone when I was talking to them.

I really have enjoyed Time Warner Cable inasmuch as there were very few problems with Internet going down, tv going down etc. What I do not like about them and some other cable companies is that they play the same stuff over and over and for the outrageous prices they charge they should at least include movie channels for free. Plus every year they raise their prices to just too much and that's why I have to cancel my plan with them. I need to find excellent connection speeds and wifi with low cost. Its out of control.
